Present Continuous

They use the Present Continuous to express the idea that something is happening now, at this very moment.

Examples:

You are learning English now.
You are not swimming now.
Are you sleeping?
I am sitting.
I am not standing.
Is he sitting or standing?
They are reading their books.
They are not watching television.
What are you doing?
Why aren't you doing your homework?

Sometimes, speakers use the Present Continuous to indicate that something will happen in the near future. Fixed plan in the near future

Examples:

I am meeting some friends after work.
I am not going to the party tonight.
Is he visiting his parents next weekend?
Isn't he coming with us tonight?
She is going to Spain on Saturday.

We are learning FOOD in English!!!!

Estamos aprendiendo LA COMIDA (FOOD) in English. ¡Nos lo estamos pasando pipa!

A parte de aprender un montón de vocabulario, de diferenciar lo que son frutas (Fruits) y verduras (Vegetables), también estamos aprendiendo a preguntar si gusta (Do you like...?) y a contestar sí

(Yes, I do) o no (No, I don't). Ya empezamos a diferenciar él (he) y ella (she) y a poner la -s en la tercera persona (He likes.../He doesn't like... - She likes.../She doesn't like...)

Vemos canciones divertidas, hacemos fichas escritas y orales, donde también participan los padres (nos encanta decirle a la señorita que hemos hecho de "teachers" con ellos, porque no nos entendían). Nos juntamos con los alumnos de 4 años para enseñarles tooooodo lo que sabemos.
